Longwood program to help teachers form positive relationships

An upcoming class from the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole in Longwood will teach instructors about forming positive bonds with students.

The Making Sense of Sensory/Self Regulation presentation is a training program highlighting the importance of building relationships between teachers and students. During the course, attendees will engage in collaborative activities with others, learn about the value of connections in the classroom, and practice composure strategies for self-regulation. The lesson will also show teachers how to integrate social skill building throughout the school day.

The lesson is one of many programs held by the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole, which is a non-profit agency that aims to help children enter schools ready and eager to learn. The organization provides scholarships for eligible kids and promotes community awareness of important early learning factors. The group also wishes to increase participation in the Voluntary Prekindergarten program. Agencies like this can increase the visibility of their cause by utilizing poster printing services.

The relationships class will be held on Tuesday, March 9 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no fee to register for the lesson. The presentation will occur over a Zoom call and will be accessible through laptops, computers, or tablets.
