Longwood organization to teach frontline leadership skills

The Employees Association Forum (EAF) in Longwood will be offering a course this October on developing frontline leadership skills.

Those looking for more supervisory experience, or who are moving into a frontline position’ can attend the EAF’s course on strengthening frontline leadership abilities. The class is a two-day workshop where students will use interactive dialogue, group discussions, and assessments to learn about building effective frontline leadership. The lessons will also teach attendees situational problem-solving skills that can be applied on the job. Charles Walsh will be the instructor for the course.

There will be several core topics covered during the leadership class, including how to handle workplace conflicts, build employee confidence to improve performance, and apply progressive discipline. The course will discuss the common myths associated with supervising and inform students about effective communication practices. Teachers who offer classes such as this can use brochure printing services to give attendees take-home information they can reference when needed.

The leadership course will be held on Thursday, October 8 and Friday, October 9 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Members of the EAF will pay $359 to register for the class, while non-members will need to pay $459 to join the lesson. The program will be held at the EAF Training Facility. People who do not cancel with 48 hours’ notice will be liable for the entire fee.
