Longwood helps out its first-time homebuyers

Buying a first home can be a daunting experience, and an upcoming workshop will seek to change that for people in the Longwood area.

The free Homebuyer Workshop will give those who take part a range of knowledge points they can use to make this major purchase a whole lot easier. A wide assortment of topics will be discussed, including credit scores and what they mean, how those who take part can improve their score, the various types of mortgages that are available, making an offer, and the varying costs that can be part of buying a property.

In addition to all of the above, attendees will be encouraged to explore their own finances to determine what they can afford to borrow, how they can accommodate house payments into their budget and also what size down payment is best for them. It’s being brought to the community courtesy of Gateway Mortgage Group. Branded Presentation Folders, filled with information that may be helpful for those who participate in an event like this, can be designed and produced by a Print company.

This Longwood workshop will be held on May 16 from 11:45 pm until 1:00 pm at 500 S Maitland Ave in Maitland. Additional information, as well as an opportunity to register to participate, are available on the Longwood Town Planner website.
