The Us vs. Lupus Community Walk will be held at Reiter Park in Longwood this April as part of Lupus Awareness Month.
The walk is an event that aims to raise funds to help support the Florida Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America. The organization works towards improving the quality of life by people impacted by the disease through research, support, and advocacy. The group has partnered with No Limit Health and Education to create the event. Charitable organizations can bring promotional Pens to events like this to help increase awareness for their cause.
The community walk will allow both teams and individuals to register for the fundraiser. People who participate in the event are encouraged to walk eight laps around the track at Reiter Park. There will also be a mini yoga class held during the fundraiser, and attendees will partake in the Lupus Warrior line dance. Other activities at the event include music entertainment, and face painting for children who are brought to the walk.
The Us vs. Lupus Community Walk will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am, although given that many events have been cancelled in recent weeks, checking nearer the time would be advisable. Onsite registration for individual participants will cost $40. Those who register as an individual walker for the fundraiser will be given a T-shirt.
