Things are about to get scary in Longwood.
The Mudwalk Spooky 5K will take participants along a scenic trail that is both paved and unpaved. Runners are encouraged to wear costumes. While there is no official timing system, there will be a timer clock so participants can see their results.
The race will benefit the Seminole County Public School system’s Environmental Studies Center. The event organizers probably used a Direct Mail printing service to get the word out about the 5K.
After the race, participants can stick around for a free pancake breakfast and check out the Environmental Studies Center from 9:00 am until noon.
Awards will be distributed to the top 10 finishers of each gender in the high school to adult age range, and also to the top three male and female finishers in the youth age bracket.
From October 25 until October 30, registration costs $30 for adults and $20 for youth. On race day, the adult registration increases by $5.
Pre-race packet pickup will take place on October 30, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Environmental Studies Center, located on 2985 Osprey Trail. The race will also be held here.
The race kicks off on October 31 at 8:00 am, followed by the pancake breakfast at 8:30 am. Race day registration begins at 7:00 am.Get a Free Quote for Direct Mail
