Longwood residents who would like to make sure that they are well prepared in case of an emergency may wish to make plans to attend an upcoming workshop that has been planned for their community.
The event will equip those who participate with knowledge and skills to perform CPR as well as first aid and also how to operate a fire extinguisher. The students in the class who successfully meet the criteria will be given a certification card that indicates they have received the training.
The session is scheduled to start at 6:30 pm, and the organizers have asked that everyone who registers arrives 15 minutes early so that there will be time to get settled in. The doors will close at 6:40 pm, and no one will be admitted after that time. To be certified, the attendees must be an active participant in all of the exercises and activities, and complete the entire workshop.
The registration fee will be $31 each, and the event will be held in the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole, which is located at 280 Hunt Park Cove in Longwood. Manuals and other material for this type of function can be produced by local Print shops.
This opportunity to learn how to save a life will be offered on July 12. Everyone who feels it could be useful to them is welcome.
