Inaugural festival promotes fitness for families

The 1st annual Family Fitness Festival is taking place next month in Seminole County.

Presented by the Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation, a portion of all proceeds will benefit local youth sports programs.

The morning will be filled with plenty of fitness activities for people of all ages, and many physical challenges for guests to show how fit they are and to push themselves to the next level. They will also have the chance to meet several area professional athletes, learn about some injury prevention techniques, and win prizes. Food will be offered for sale by several Seminole County vendors.

There will also be a chance to win more than 25 youth sports scholarships, which range in value from $50 to $200.

Events like this are a great way to promote fitness, and to encourage young people to get outside and participate in sports of all kinds.

Food vendors will likely come from all over the county, including nearby Longwood. To advertise events such as these, organizers will often invest in Flyers that can be inexpensively and easily distributed in surrounding communities.

The Family Fitness Festival will be held at D1 in Lake Mary on August 13 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To find out the most up-to-date information, contact the Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation at 407-418-0570.
