Wekiva Island in Longwood will be holding its annual Wekiva Island Christmas & Snow Event this December for Floridians interested in experiencing snow.
The Wekiva Island Christmas & Snow Event is a family festival that offers numerous holiday activities for everyone to enjoy. The event will feature a snow slide and daily snow flurries, while bringing in special guests like Santa Claus and The Grinch. Guests can also view light displays during the festival and take boat rides down the nearby river. Community events that are similar to this can use flyer printing to capture the attention of locals.
There will be several events held throughout December during the festival. An Ugly Sweater Party will be held on December 6 that will feature performances from a mariachi band, and visitors can create a reindeer feed kit on the 18th for $10 each. A VIP event will be held on the December 21 that will include live music and gourmet food for $50 per person.
The event will be open to the public starting November 29 and will last until January 1. The displays are free to view, though attendees must pay to ride the snow slide. Unlimited rides can be purchased for $7 during the week and $10 during the weekend. Guests can bring toys to donate during the festival that will benefit the Toys for Tots organization.
