Golf tournament will help people to walk

The Project Walk Orlando Golf Benefit is happening this June in Lake Mary. All proceeds will go to support the organization.

Project Walk is an organization that helps people to recover from catastrophic spinal cord injuries. Through exercise and treatments it helps people regain function and possibly allow them to walk again.

The golf tournament is open to everyone in the area and fees are reasonable. The $100 fee includes a continental breakfast, a barbecue lunch, a t-shirt, raffles and a silent auction. It will also entitle all players to a $25 replay voucher to be used at any time in the future. Players can also compete in such competitions as closest to the tee, putting and longest drive to win prizes donated by the event's sponsor.

Sponsorships are available for local business and individuals from $100 up to $10,000. The lowest rate entitles the sponsor to a hole tee sign.

It is also likely that the bigger sponsors will be recognized either at lunch or breakfast. This might include displaying all of the names and logos on a large banner. Longwood and area printing companies frequent provide marketing materials to events like this.
