Experienced landscape painter to teach Longwood class

Wekiva Island in Longwood will be holding a painting course this December, taught by a professional artist.

Wekiva Island’s Wine & Paint program will be inviting Elisabeth Ferber to guide students through creating their own masterpieces. The painting for the upcoming event will be winter-themed. Each guest at the activity will receive two glasses of wine and a gourmet charcuterie. All art supplies needed to complete the picture will be included in the course fees. Organizations that offer art-related programs can advertise their classes with flyer printing.

Elisabeth Ferber is a painter born in Belleville, Illinois who was exposed to classical art backgrounds during her childhood. She later moved to Central Florida and became a member of organizations like the Oil Painters of America and Central Florida Plein Air Artists. Ferber’s work can be described as classical representational. While she can paint a variety of subjects, her favorites involve wildlife and landscapes.

The art lesson will be held on Wednesday, December 2 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Those who are interested in the painting course can register for $35. People can visit Wekiva Island’s Facebook page to learn about their other upcoming music and art programs. Anyone who would like to view Ferber’s recently completed works can find an updated list of new pieces on her website.
