The 11th annual Taste of Sanford on the Water is taking place this May. It is a presentation of the Greater Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce.
This event will feature the food of area restaurants and caterers for sampling, and will give locals the opportunity to discover new places to eat. There will also be music from acts such as Jill's Cashbox and Renee Adams.
The children's area is set to feature rides, games, bounce houses, face painting, mascots, and water activities. In addition, arts and craft vendors will be selling a variety of handmade items that might make for good Mother's Day gifts.
Currently, organizers are holding a poster contest with a closing date of April 30. It is open to all ages and the theme is ‘The sounds and taste of Sanford’. The winner will be announced during the event.
Families from Longwood and other nearby areas may take a trip to attend this tasty event. Local brochure printing companies may provide products to help spread the word beyond Sanford.
The Taste of Sanford on the Water is being held at Fort Mellon Park on May 9 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is $5 and free for children aged 12 and under, while a family pass is $20. To find out more about this event, contact the chamber at 407-322-2212.
