Tickets on sale for 2016 food festival

Fort Lauderdale will be the site of a much-anticipated food festival next year.

The South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SoBeWFF), located in Miami, is inaugurating a ‘Taste Fort Lauderdale’ event series, beginning with a tasting event called Seaside Eats.

The event will be held at Bonnet House and is hosted by Robert Irvine, a celebrity known for his work on the Food Network. The chefs who will appear are all from South Florida, and include Nicolay Adinaguev of Steak 954, Peter Boulukos of YOLO, and Adrienne Grenier of 3030 Ocean.

For Food Network fans, the highlight of the Taste Fort Lauderdale events must be the Bloody Mary Brunch, which will take place at the Fort Lauderdale Ritz-Carlton. This event features the cast of the network's wildly popular competition show ‘Chopped’. The celebrities, who will mingle with guests, include Ted Allen, the show's host, and world-class chefs Scott Conant, Marc Murphy, Aaron Sanchez, Geoffrey Zakarian, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marcus Samuelsson, and Amanda Freitag.

The brunch runs from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 28, and features Bloody Marys, as well as food from chefs such as Eric Baker of Max's Harvest and Tanzy Restaurant's Sherry Yard. Tickets are $175 per person, and are on sale now. Event organizers might consider working with a postcard printing company on a card to mail to residents, announcing the event.
