STEMapalooza returns to Fort Lauderdale

The Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida will host their fourth annual STEMapalooza this August.

The event will transform the Museum of Discovery and Science into an after-hours science exploration zone for families and children.

Designed to immerse participants in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, the event will provide access to museum exhibits and hands-on learning experiences. Attendees will explore fields such as astronomy, biology, and geology through interactive workshops and live demonstrations. Local scientists will be on hand to share insights and answer questions, offering real-world perspectives on STEM careers.

This year’s theme, “–ology overload” encourages curiosity by presenting science in engaging and creative formats.

The program fee covers full access to exhibits, all planned activities, and an exclusive STEMapalooza event patch. Admission requires registration for both children and adults, as the event does not accommodate drop-offs. All minors must be accompanied by a supervising adult throughout the evening.

Tickets are available through early registration only. Child tickets for school-aged kids and Girl Scouts over five are priced at $40. Adult admission is $30.

Print shops may be used by the host to provide educational materials to attendees of events such as this one.

STEMapalooza will take place on August 23rd from 6 pm to 9:30 pm at the Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 SW 2nd St, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
