One of the ways members of the public can be good environmental stewards is by planting a pollinator garden, and a Ft. Lauderdale workshop can help point the way.
Butterflies, native bees, birds, moths, beetles, bats, and other creatures are all players in the cycle of reproduction for many plants, and they can all benefit from some tender loving care. Heal the Planet has organized a class that will make it easy to support these pollinators, and the agenda for the session will explore this in depth.
The workshop will address plant selection and siting, and proper planting and care will be covered as well. Suggestions for watering will be shared, and microclimates, disease and pest prevention, and even some tips for identifying the animals that may stop by a pollinator garden will be included in the discussion. It is free to participate in the activity, which will run for one and a half hours.
Many people who walk away from a workshop are eager to learn even more. A printing services company can supply materials so that they will be able to keep on making new discoveries, and these will be available at a variety of prices.
This pollinator focused activity is scheduled for Saturday, January 29 at 10:00 am. It will be held in Snyder Park.
