The last full moon in June is colloquially known as a “strawberry moon,” and an evening paddle will help Ft. Lauderdale folks enjoy the experience.
The staff at Sunrise Paddleboards have organized an event that will see paddlers take to the local waterways by moonlight, and all levels of experience are welcome. The participation fee starts at $39, although reduced ticket prices will be offered to anyone who brings their own kayak, paddleboard, or other vessel.
The group will be supplied with glow necklaces as well as navigation lights, and photos will be taken too. Upon returning to shore the attendees will toast one another with the beverages provided, and a free launch is on offer for anyone who bought their kayak or board from the host company.

The date for this moonlight paddle will be June 24, and the group will hit the water at 8:00 pm. Both single and tandem kayaks, as well as paddleboards, are welcome. Tickets for the function go on sale at the end of May, with only a limited number available.
