Ft. Lauderdale honors veterans with November event

Ft. Lauderdale is set to give a salute to its vets and their families on a day filled with fun for the entire community.

Broward County and the South Florida Institute of Aging will be teaming up to bring Veterans Family Day to the city. Set to be held in Reverend Samuel Delevoe Memorial Park, admission is free and the function will be full of activities, food, and fun.

The plans for the occasion include live entertainment, and a resource fair will connect veterans and military families with supports and services that can help them to live their best life. Raffle draws are on the agenda, and everyone will be able to enjoy a bite to eat and a cold drink. It is recommended that the attendees follow the latest CDC guideline for Covid prevention, and anyone who requires an accommodation due to a disability is asked to contact the county's Special Populations Section at least five days ahead of the date.

A festive occasion like this often benefits from having custom decor prepared, and this service can be performed by a banner printing company. It will also be able to supply signage to help keep the celebration running smoothly.

Ft. Lauderdale will be offering veterans and the families that stand behind them this special thank you on Saturday, November 6.
