Ft Lauderdale feasts on BBQ

The Ft Lauderdale Riverwalk is getting set for their Fourth Annual Smoke on the Water BBQ Feast and Competition. The event pits pit masters against one another to celebrate a

classic American cooking tradition.

The feast will take place along the river, offering visitors the chance to sample the wares of some of the foremost barbecue cooks in the region. So far Smokey C’s, M.E.A.T. Eatery, Kingzz Jerk Juice, and more have signed on to provide their own special brand of smoked meat at the event.

Visitors can peruse the various vendors, purchase some food, and listen to the live music being performed by the Schools of Rock. In the afternoon, Stephens Distributing will set up a beer garden where attendees 21 and over can enjoy a brew while they eat.

Though in its fourth year, this marks the first time that the competition aspect has been added to the mix. Though not all vendors have to compete, those intrepid cooks who do will have the chance of being declared BBQ Feast Champion on all of the Flyers and marketing materials that go out over the following year.

The Fourth Annual Smoke on the Water BBQ Feast and Competition will take place on June 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Esplanade Park, located at 305 S. Andrews Ave Ste 410. Admission is free to the public. Anyone interested in more information should visit the website.
