A Fort Lauderdale event will be helping South Florida to celebrate Earth Day, and it promises to be a function full of fun for young and old alike.
The community will be hosting its 6th annual Heal the Planet festival, and the planners have worked hard to build a schedule that will offer plenty of activities for all ages, with a special area set up just for the kids. The celebration depends upon the generosity of community sponsors, and there may still be room for more to come aboard.
Along with the Kids Zone, the event will include an area that will have lots to offer members of the public who would like to learn more about growing their own food. A Conscious Vendor Village will welcome anyone who wants to engage in some “retail therapy,” and a full schedule of live entertainment is on the agenda.
Along with all the activities, there will be local food trucks parked on site to help feed the crowd. Owners of these mobile eateries may wish to prepare for the occasion by having a vehicle wrap installed, and area Print shops will be able to offer this service.
The 2021 Heal the Planet Day will be welcoming one and all on April 25. The fun will be taking place at 400 Southwest 2nd Street.
