The Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale will host a magical performance in April that all abilities can enjoy.
The Magic of Kevin Spencer is a sensory-inclusive performance where audience members can enjoy a show with stage magic, storytelling, and participation from attendees. The routine of the show was developed to accommodate those with developmental or intellectual disabilities like autism. The performance will take place at the Broward Center’s Abdo New River Room. Event venues that hold magic shows like this may use poster printing to advertise the activities to others.
Kevin Spencer is a magician who is also an experienced teaching artist, public speaker, and film producer. He has a Certification in Autism Studies and has written research papers that have appeared in publications such as the Journal of the International Society for Teacher Education. Spencer has presented at many conferences, like the East Asian International Conference on Teacher Education Research and the Council for Exceptional Children. He is also the founder of the Hocus Focus and Healing of Magic organizations.
The inclusive magic show will take place on Saturday, April 27th at 11:00 am. Tickets to see Spencer’s performance will range from $10 to $15.
