Fort Lauderdale’s men and women in blue serve their community every day of the year. The city will be saying “thank you” to them for their service with a banquet that is open to all, and everyone is welcome to honor these first responders .
The plated, formal dinner will be staged in the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort, and the function will open with a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres hour. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody will be the special presenter for the evening, and guests will be invited to take advantage of the complimentary valet parking.
During the course of the evening, the members of the force who have received monthly awards will be presented, and the 2018 Fort Lauderdale Police Officer of the Year Fraternal Order of Police Member of the Year will also have a chance to take a bow.
