Broward Center for the Performing Arts presents Dirty Dancing in Concert next month.
The 1987 romantic drama Dirty Dancing was written by Eleanor Bergstein and produced by Linda Gottlieb, starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey who fall in love at an upscale vacation resort. Swayze plays Johnny Castle, a dance instructor, while Grey plays Frances “Baby” Houseman, a young girl on vacation with her parents. The first live film-to-concert adaptation of this legendary movie will be shown on a large movie screen.
Those interested in attending will take in the critically acclaimed picture that has been digitally remastered, as a live band and singers perform the film's well-known songs. Dirty Dancing in Concert aims to provide an exciting new and distinctive way to experience the ‘80s classic, with music that defined a generation. Tickets range from $55.75 to $175 per person.
Poster printing is an inexpensive and creative way for organizers to provide information about concerts such as this, and to make a visually attractive item that catches the eye.
The show will be on Sunday, November 20, starting at 6:00 pm. It will be at the Lillian S. Well Hall at The Parker at 707 Northeast 8th Street in Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33304. Visit the event listing or call 954-462-0222 for more information or to buy tickets.
