Colavita brings marathon to Ft. Lauderdale

A challenging weekend of marathon fun will be presented in Ft. Lauderdale by Colavita this coming winter.

The Publix A1A Marathon and Half Marathon brings a weekend of entertainment, nightlife, and the thrill of Ft. Lauderdale to the event.

Often cited as one of the best features of running in Fort Lauderdale is the fact the ocean is the finish line. Combining the scenery of the coastline, beaches, and ocean, participants will run along one of the most well-known roads in the country in this 26.2-mile course.

Athletes from more than 40 states and a dozen foreign countries will compete in the coastal area’s signature event. Last year, more than 4,000 people participated and projections indicate the 2015 event will see even more registrants.

Local Print companies are available to supply banner printing for the event. Banners are used for directional signage in outdoor marathon activities to assist the runners.

The event will take place on February 15. A special 5K presented by Publix, as well, is scheduled for Saturday, February 14 at 7:30 a.m. The 5K will take place at Huizenga Plaza.

In conjunction with the other marathon activities, a special Kids Fun Run will take place on Sunday, February 15, at Florida’s Beach Front Ave.
