The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade is set to light up the waters of Fort Lauderdale this December.
Now in its 53rd year, this holiday event will feature an array of private boats, mega-yachts, and showboats, all adorned with intricate light displays, festive decorations, and lively entertainment.
The event will kick off with a show of non-motorized boats at 6:00 pm, creating a prelude to the main event. Spectators can expect appearances from local celebrities, bands, and beauty queens. In past years, entries like Rudolph with Presents and the ever-popular Blue Foot Pirate have delighted audiences.
Another crowd favorite, the Ballyhoo Karaoke Boat, will be present to entertain spectators with a big screen allowing them to sing along. This year will also offer a new eye-catching entry – a boat with a striking dragon at its bow.
This parade is expected to draw over a million viewers, making it one of the most anticipated holiday events in South Florida. For individuals who want to enter a boat in the parade, the cost is $35.
Banner printing may be used by organizers to decorate the boats at parades such as this one.
The main event will be Saturday, December 14 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The parade will begin its journey at the historic Stranahan House, voyaging east down the New River through downtown Fort Lauderdale, before heading north to Lake Santa Barbara.
