Pinnacle Ecological will hold a special lecture series about the ocean at the Delray Beach Public Library.
Those interested in learning about different topics in ocean science can attend a lecture series led by local scientists. There will be two presentations that people can join in November and December. The first topic is Coral Reef Conservation and Restoration, which will cover the challenges coral reefs are facing and how people can help protect local reefs. The second topic is Coral Reef Marine Life Identification, a presentation that teaches guests about taxonomic classification.
Pinnacle Ecological is a consulting company that studies the ocean to find ways of keeping coastal and offshore marine development activities environmentally responsible. The president of the organization is Paul Fitzgerald, a notable figure in the scientific diving community who has gone on over 10,000 dives. The group works on many projects, such as the Islamorada Seagrass Restoration project and the Hillsborough Beach Renourishment Project. People can hire the company to provide diver training.
The presentation on protecting coral reefs will be held on Wednesday, November 4 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, and the lecture on marine life identification will be on Wednesday, December 2 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Registration is required for both events. Libraries that hold similar educational programs can get more patrons interested by advertising them with flyer printing services.
