The Delray Beach Public Library will hold a shark-themed celebration to close out its summer series.
The STREAM Grand Finale Party is an event for kids and teens that the Delray Beach Public Library is organizing with Sharks4Kids. Those who participated in the library’s summer reading program can pick up their Summer Reading Certificate of Accomplishment at the celebration. There will also be several shark-themed activities held at the party, such as hands-on experiences, virtual reality machines, and a discussion about sharks with National Geographic explorers.
Sharks4Kids is an organization that wishes to encourage more children to become advocates for sharks by using fun and educational activities to teach them about the vital role sharks have in ocean ecosystems. The group conducts classroom visits and provides field experiences to kids to help teach them about sharks. The founder of the organization is Jillian Morris. People can help Sharks4Kids reach more students by donating money to its website.
The STREAM celebration with Sharks4Kids will be held on Thursday, July 23 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the library’s auditorium. The event will be appropriate for those who are 17 and younger. Registration for the party is encouraged but not required. Libraries that organize summer programs like this may use flyer printing services to make ads that reach more of their patrons.
