Those who like festive athletic events can take part in a seasonal race this December at Anchor Park in Delray Beach.
The Delray Beach Jingle Bell Jog is an event where participants can celebrate the season by running through the community in themed costumes. All runners in the program will be gifted a Santa costume and a custom holiday-themed participation medal. Athletes will also get some jingle bells to tie to their shoes for the run. Participants have the option to take part in a 5K run or the Elf Dash. There will even be a festive after-party at Anchor Park where guests can enjoy eggnog, cookies, and fruit.
Those interested in joining the holiday run can pick up their race packets at Foxtail Coffee in Boca Raton. There will be no parking available at Anchor Park, so participants are asked to carpool to the event and use nearby parking lots along the beach. Runners may also use the Downtown Delray Beach garage and take a shuttle to the event venue.
The race will be held on Saturday, December 20th at 7:30 am. The cost to take part in the Jingle Bell Jog is $50 per person, though discounted admission is available to those who register before December 5th. The price of the Elf Dash will be $20 per person. Community organizations in charge of holiday runs such as this may use banner printing to make advertisements for their races.
