The Horses Energy Reflection Direction (HERD) Foundation will hold an event at Tara Farm in Delray Beach.
Veterans Day at the Farm is a family-friendly program where those who have served their country can enjoy several fun activities. The venue will have horse demonstrations, giveaways, and games for guests to play. Attendees can also visit the event’s resource room to learn about different services for veterans in the community. Several vets will be at the resource room to share inspiring stories with visitors. There will even be a special flag-raising ceremony to thank veterans for their service.
The HERD Foundation is an organization useing Equine-Assisted Learning to help people improve their social skills and develop as leaders. Those who take part in the group’s programs can learn mindfulness, reduce their stress, and improve their self-esteem. The founders of the organization are Rhonda Fritzshall and Nongae Johnson. Fritzshall is a Certified Montessori Teacher with 30 years of experience helping people overcome addiction.
The event will be on Saturday, November 11th from 11:00am to 2:00pm. General admission is free, though spots can be reserved in advance. Those who wish to help the HERD Foundation can donate to the group online or by mail. Farms hosting programs like this may use banner printing to make ads that motorists can easily notice.
