Waves Surf Academy in Delray Beach will be organizing a summer camp in June at the Delray Breakers on the Ocean.
The Camp is a program created by Waves Surf Academy to teach children how to surf while providing fun beach activities for campers. No prior surfing experience is required to partake in the camp, though specialized instruction will be available for kids who are skilled surfers. Other activities offered during the program include snorkeling, building sandcastles, and learning about marine-related topics. Children will also get to play volleyball, football, and dodgeball.
Waves Surf Academy is a school founded in 2013 that offers swim lessons, surf lessons, club programs, and board rentals. The founder of the academy is Eric Dernick, and the activities coordinator is Christina Dernick. The school has been featured in publications such as the Coastal Star, Palm Beach Illustrated, and Sun-Sentinel. Waves Surf Academy also works with country clubs and hotels throughout South Florida. Organizations such as this may promote their surfing lessons to the public by using flyer printing.
The Camp will be held from Monday, June 6 to Friday, June 10. Each session at the academy will last from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. The cost to attend the program is $325 per child, and only kids aged 5-14 are allowed to take part in the summer camp.
