Delray Beach festival to benefit pets

The Pets’ Broward organization will organize an event in Delray Beach to help dogs in need.

The 2nd Annual Pooches & Presents in the Park is a community program that raises awareness for a good cause. Many dog-friendly activities will be offered during the event, and prizes will be given to pets in the cutest holiday attire. People can also meet with adoptable dogs at the festival and purchase pet-safe treats from vendors. The Delray Police Department will bring their trained canines to the event to put on a working dog show for the attendees.

Pets’ Broward is a private non-profit group that wishes to stop the community from killing adoptable shelter pets while promoting kindness and compassion towards animals. The organization rescues pets in need and helps them find new caring homes. Past events created by the non-profit include Merry Mutts and Festive Felines, Stay, Sit, Sip If You Love Pets, and the Paint Your Pet Event. The group also has a Shelter Shindig series.

The pet-friendly activity will be held on Sunday, November 6th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event will take place at Old School Square. Vendors can reserve a space at the fest for $50, and animal rescue organizations can purchase a booth space for $25.
