Delray Beach will be hosting a special event in July to raise funds and collect supplies for students throughout Palm Beach County (PBC).
Back to School PBC is a community activity where people can help local children return to school with the necessities for a successful year. Eligible students may receive school uniforms, Backpacks with supplies, and sneakers. Kids can also be given complimentary haircuts, health screenings, and vision tests. Children may qualify for the resources if they live in one of the 84 Countywide Community Revitalization Team communities or trailer parks in Palm Beach County.
There will be several volunteering opportunities available for those interested in helping at the Back to School PBC event. Positions include setting up the event, checking in other volunteers, and organizing the donated school supplies. People may also contribute to the Spirit of Giving Network to assist the organization with purchasing items like healthy snacks, hygiene kits, and shirts for volunteers. Charitable groups like this can incorporate a unique Logo Design onto their tees to strengthen their brand’s identity to viewers.
The event will be held at the Village Academy Delray Beach on Saturday, July 30. Those who want to volunteer for the activity can sign up for three-hour timeslots on the event’s website. All volunteers must be 18 and older to take part in the school’s program.
