The Cornell Art Museum in Delray Beach will hold an opening reception for a glass-themed exhibit in October.
The Hot Glass Exhibition Opening is a program co-produced by the Cornell Art Museum and the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts. The community can meet with the featured artists and watch live glass art demonstrations from professionals. Attendees may also listen to art talks during the opening. Hot Glass is an exhibition that showcases works from artists throughout Florida. There will even be pieces made by artists from Netflix’s Blown Away series.
The reception is co-curated by Marusca Gatto and Eli Cecil. Gatto is an experienced glass artist and the Downtown Development Authority’s Downtown Activation Manager. She has taught art courses at venues like the Corning Museum of Glass and the Coral Springs Museum of Art. Cecil is the Creative Director for the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts. He graduated from Salisbury University and earned the Artist of the Future Award from the Imagine Museum.
The opening for Hot Glass will be held on Friday, October 11th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There is no registration required to attend the reception. Attendees at the event will receive complimentary refreshments. The exhibition will be open until next March. Museums that host receptions similar to this can advertise their programs with flyer printing services.
