The Palace Theater is welcoming music, guest speakers, and trivia next month. The Waterbury venue was renovated and reopened in 2004.
Palace Pursuit Trivia Night will be held on January 9 from 5:30 to 9:00 pm. Cocktails and pizza available during the first hour. Participants play four rounds of trivia and the top three teams win prizes. Registration required.
The Melissa Newman Trio will play on January 10 at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. The daughter of actor Paul Newman, Melissa is a jazz vocalist accompanied by a guitarist and bassist.
On January 11 at 12:00 noon, dating and relationship coach Karenna Alexander will speak about how women can find meaningful relationships.
Terry Factor, a comedian and impressionist, will perform on January 18 at 8:00 pm. He is known for being able to impersonate over 100 people.
On January 24, the Michael Kanan Trio will play at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. He is a jazz pianist and vocalist that has worked with many famous musicians of the genre.
The Simon and Garfunkel Story will be performed on January 25 at 8:00 pm. It is a combination of film footage and a live band playing all their popular hits and telling their musical history. Waterbury has printers that design and provide poster printing for events.
Dining at the Poli Club in the Palace Theater is available two hours before evening performances. Reservations are required. The theater is at 100 East Main Street.
