The Connecticut Roller Derby is hosting an event for people who love skating.
The event is open to long-time roller derby enthusiasts who have been captivated by the sport since watching it on TV during its heyday, and those who are simply seeking an exciting and enjoyable summer hobby. No previous experience with skating is necessary. Both seasoned skaters and complete beginners are welcome to be part of the fun.
Presented by the dynamic skaters of CTRD, this exclusive bootcamp offers an on-skates experience designed to provide focused training for those eager to join our league or simply enjoy the sport. With expert guidance, attendees will master the fundamental skills required for roller derby, which will be evaluated during try-outs.
The enrollment fee for this six-week bootcamp, including the try-out cost, is $100. To participate, attendees will require skates as well as safety gear. They can be rented for a $40 fee, with half of the fee returned upon completing the program. Please note that all attendees must be pre-registered. Cash payments and enrollments on the day will not be allowed. Printing services could be used to Print tickets for events.
The bootcamp will be held at Roller Magic in Waterbury on several dates through August and September. Please be aware that the dates and times for the bootcamp sessions may be subject to slight changes based on the priorities of Roller Magic.
