Restaurants work around restrictions with new options

Local restaurants that serve the Waterbury area and surrounding towns are offering dine-in and take-out services during the winter. All restaurants practice social distancing.

Mangia with Gigi and Mike are open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. They have dine-in and take-out services, and reservations are needed. The lunch menu has appetizers, paninis, salads, wraps, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, and a children’s menu.

The eatery’s dinner menu has weekly specials for one or four. Dinner specials for four come with the main entrée, salad, and bread. The menu serves four cheese ravioli, pasta dishes, appetizers, Italian chicken, veal, and fish dishes. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available too.

The Aurora Restaurant is also open daily for breakfast or lunch. The breakfast menu has eggs, pancakes, French toast, waffles, omelets, chicken and waffles, cereal, coffee, and tea.

For lunch, the restaurant serves sandwiches, burgers, salads, wraps, fried shrimp, Southern fried chicken, cold platters, anda special kids’ menu. With dine-in and take-out services, eaters can simply call to order and no reservations are needed.

Thirdly, Nonna Lucia’s is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, with dine in, online ordering, takeout, and delivery options through Grubhub and Uber Eats. The lunch menu has appetizers, antipasto, salads, wraps, burgers, pizza, and dinners.

A dinner menu has appetizers, a variety of salads, grilled chicken with vodka, chicken cacciatore, veal dishes, pasta, seafood, weekly specials, and pizza. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available. Call to order or order online.
