Railroad museum puts on holiday train rides

The Northern Light Limited and Santa Express at the Railroad Museum of New England will run train rides for the holidays, with daytime and evening options to choose from.

The rides are about an hour and 20 minutes long at the museum, which serves Waterbury and the surrounding towns.

Santa Express is the train that runs during the day, and is festooned with holiday decorations. Children will visit with Santa and receive hand-delivered gifts. Hot chocolate will be served in special Mugs and there will be a singalong with elves.

The Northern Lights Limited runs in the evening. The train is lighted and decorated with holiday decorations. Children visit Santa’s workshop to pick up Santa and Mrs. Claus. Visits with Santa are longer and kids receive hand-delivered gifts. There is a singalong with the elves.

The Santa Express will run on November 29, 30, and December 1, 6,7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, and 22 at 12:00 pm and 2:15 pm. Places on the train are limited to 30 seats.

The Northern Light Limited runs on exactly the same dates as above, but at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Seats on the train is limited to 32 passengers. Printers design Promotional Products like Mugs, T-Shirts and keychains for events like this. Free parking is available at the train station.
