Palace Theater offers history, tours, and live entertainment

The Palace Theater in Waterbury will have a history class, tours of the theater, trivial pursuit night, fall jazz series, and musical entertainment. The theater was renovated and reopened in 2004 and is designed in the Renaissance Revival style.

The Palace Theater History Class will be a five-week course that meets on September 3, 10, 17, 24, and 22 from 10:15 am -11:45 am. The classes will include a tour, slide show, question and answer with staff, backstage tour, and viewing of a Bronx Tale.

Second Act, a monthly story-telling series, will be held on September 17 from 6 pm-8 pm. Patty Addiss talks about becoming a Broadway producer at retirement age after running a successful promotions business.

The Palace Theater monthly tour will be on September 18 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm. Participants will tour the theater and learn about history.

On September 19 from 5:30 pm – 9 pm. Trivia Night will be held, and cocktails and snacks will be served.

David Keller, singer and guitarist, will perform for the Fall Jazz Series on September 20. There will be two shows one at 7 pm and another at 9 pm.

On September 27 at 8 pm, Brian Wilson, a songwriter and one of the founding members of the Beach Boys, teams up with the rock and roll British band The Zombies. Waterbury has poster printing and design for events like this.

Parking is available at Scoville Garage. Dining is available before nightly performances at the Poli Club.

The theater is located at 100 East Main Street in downtown Waterbury.
