Neurodivergent event creates fun day for kids in Waterbury
A day of activities designed for the neurodivergent community is in the works in Waterbury, providing a safe and inclusive space for the area’s youth.
The 2024 Social Chase Event is set to welcome the Waterbury neurodivergent community to the Waterbury Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park for a memorable day of inclusive activities. The event, branded as the “Free to Be Me” gathering, is welcoming to autistic and neurodivergent children 13 and under.
The park holds up to 700 people, so spots are plentiful for interested parties seeking a day of activity and adventure. Parents whose children have sensory issues are asked to come prepared for a bustling atmosphere. The Social Chase does not have a behavioral staff, so parents are invited to accompany their children to the event. Flyer printing offers a colorful way to raise awareness of such events in the community.
A signed waiver is also required for all interested parties, and several payment methods are available to assist families who want to enroll their children. Financial assistance is also available to ensure all children can participate in the event.
The festivities will be held on Sunday, October 27th, with the doors opening at 10:00 AM and the adventure ending at noon. Siblings 13 and older will be welcome to join for free. Tickets cost $10 per guest, and socks are included.
