Musical entertainment dominates theaters April schedule


The Seven Angels Theater in Waterbury offer several exciting shows this spring, with musical comedy, musical tributes, and a rock musical.









The theater was renovated in 1991 in Hamilton Park and opened in 1992.





First Date, a musical comedy, will be performed on April 4 at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, April 5 at 8:00 pm, April 6 at 8:00 pm., and April 7 at 2:00 pm. This musical is about Casey and Aaron’s first date at a restaurant, and is an evening of comedy, mishaps, parents, and scheming ex-lovers.





On April 13, a tribute ‘An Evening With Frank Sinatra and 30 Close Friends’ will be performed by Robbie Howard at 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Howard is a talented vocal impressionist who will imitate over 30 characters.





The Who’s Tommy Book will be performed from April 25 to May 19. Performances take place at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm. This 1969 rock musical is about a deaf and mute pinball player who beats his adversaries in the game. Waterbury has printers that design and provide poster printing for popular shows like this.





On June 1, a Nat King Cole Tribute will be performed by Timmy Maia at from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The Tommy Devino Orchestra will also perform. Maia is a vocalist and impressionist who has performed Stevie Wonder, Nat King Cole, and Michael Jackson tributes.





The theater is located at 1 Plank Road at Historic Hamilton Park Pavilion, and offers free parking.
