Waterbury will be hosting a stage version of the popular game show, ‘The Price is Right’, later this month. Talk show host Jerry Springer will be the master of ceremonies for the show.
Prizes are expected to include vacations, appliances, and potentially a new car. The promotors of the show, FremantleMedia North America, say it will be an interactive experience as audience members will have the chance to play games such as The Big Wheel, Cliffhangers, and Plinko.
More than $10m in prizes and cash has been given away by ‘The Price Is Right Live!’ and it has sold more than 1.2 million tickets.
Springer is best known for hosting his own show, now in its 27th season, but has also appeared in movies and on Broadway, and is an award-winning newscaster.
Those who want to participate in the show need to be 18 years of age and older and legal residents of the United States or Canada. Three hours before the show is scheduled to start, interested persons should visit the registration area at or near the venue box office.
‘The Price Is Right Live!’ will begin at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 18 at the Palace Theater.
