Library reopens with online classes and programs

The Silas Bronson Library in Waterbury has reopened for taking out Books and other media by appointment only, and is increasing its online offerings for adults and children.

Library users can request materials online or by calling the library. The staff will call them with a time to pick up the materials when ready.

Wonderful Wednesday Stories will be held on November 4, 18, and 25 from 11:00 am – noon for children ages two to six years. The class will be held on the video calling platform Zoom.

Silas Bronson Geekdom Choose Your Own Adventure is a chance for all ages to learn to play online games on Twitch TV. It will meet November 10, 17, and 24 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Games such as Life Is Strange, and Walking Dead will be played.

The Kids Zone Coding Club will meet November 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Kids age five and over will learn to code in Google CS First. Parental supervision is recommended.

Seat of the Pants Cooking with Chef Bill will be held November 19 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Zoom. He will demonstrate new recipes and techniques. Printers have graphic design staff that design and Print Flyers and Brochures for programs like this.

World of Gaming will meet November 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Twitch TV. Explore new and classic games for all ages.

Registration for November and December Zoom programs is online, and a link will be sent via email to join classes. Call to learn to registers for Twitch TV game nights.
