Connecticut DMV expansion of online services announced

It was recently announced by Governor Ned Lamont, that residents of his state will be able to complete even more Department of Motor Vehicle transactions online.

The Connecticut DMV has processed thousands of address changes and online renewals since the first of the year with online transactions outpacing submissions made in person.

Residents of Waterbury and the rest of state will also be able to renew or request duplicates of license and non-driver ID online. Other online service to be offered include Vessel registration renewal, drive history requests and notification for a change of address.

The Connecticut DMV will also be providing a portal for commercial vehicle operators (CVO) and commercial driver’s license (CDL) holders. CDL medical certificates for instance can be uploaded from drivers’ mobile devices.

As part of his announcement Lamont said:

“I know that it takes some getting used to doing these transactions online, but I want to remind Connecticut residents that even though in-person options remain available, these recently launched, expanded online services are now available, making completing transactions with the DMV a much simpler process.”

Brochure printing services are often asked to provide information for a wide range of services provided by local, county and state agencies to local libraries.

A visit to the DMV website will give Waterbury residents any information they need about what services are available online and how to access them.
