Brew and barbecue ramps up flavor in Waterbury
A barbecue and beer festival is on the docket for Brass City residents next month, providing a venue to explore the best barbecue vendors and craft breweries in the area.
The 18th Annual Brass City Brew and Que event will begin soon. It will welcome beer and food enthusiasts for a celebration to see out the end of summer in style. The event, touted as one of Connecticut’s largest beer festivals, will be held in the historic downtown Waterbury.
Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to taste samples of hundreds of local beers while listening to live music from local bands and musicians. The Rob Glossman Band, an acclaimed Grateful Dead cover band, will headline the performances. Guests can also visit the Game Zone for more entertainment and friendly competition. Banner printing is a compelling and colorful way to welcome guests to such festivals.
This year’s event will include a Beer Olympics, and the winners will receive cash prizes of up to $1,500. Beer pong and other interactive drinking games will be a prominent part of the Olympics. The day will be capped off with an amateur pit master competition.
Library Park will host the festival on Saturday, September 7th. The taste-testing and food will start at 11:00 a.m. General admission tickets are $50 per guest and can be reserved online.
