A memorable night of jazz music is coming to Hartford in a few weeks, celebrating the city’s community and the arrival of the holiday season.
The Celebrate the Holidays Fundraiser, which is presented by the Hartford Jazz Society, will be bringing the sweet sounds of jazz music to a local audience to raise money for a good cause. It will be the second iteration of the event, which organizers hope to turn into an annual tradition. The fundraiser will feature Lisa Ransom and Friends, a talented group of musicians who will perform classic jazz tunes and hits.
Guests will get to hear live music in a fun and welcoming setting while promoting the beauty of jazz music to a broad audience. Poster printing is a proven way of promoting musical events like this, with the poster design providing space for colorful images and informative text.
The fundraiser will also take time to honor Abu Alvin Carter, a local percussionist, with the Hartford Jazz Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Attendees can participate in raffles to win exciting prizes, including iconic jazz photos from Maurice Robertson and backstage passes to the Paul Brown Monday Night Jazz Series.
The fundraiser is scheduled for the evening of Saturday, December 6th. The doors at 1200 Albany Avenue will open at 7:00 PM. Tickets cost $50 for members and $60 for non-members online.
