Golfers in Hartford who want to be a part of history will be able to register for an upcoming tournament in nearby Windsor in support of a good cause.
The 25th Annual Golf Tournament, which is being put together by The West Indian Foundation Inc., is getting closer to teeing off this August, and golfers in Hartford are invited to play while raising money for educational opportunities. The money raised at this tournament will help support children’s summer enrichment opportunities and scholarships for local students.
The organizing group, which strives to shine a light on West Indian culture, along with social and educational opportunities, hopes to bring the Hartford community together to enhance those efforts. The tournament is open to both golfers and spectators. Banner printing is a reliable way for sponsors to generate impressions at each hole of the host golf course.
Attendees will get to enjoy dinner and drinks after spending the afternoon out on the links. Raffles and a prize ceremony will also be held to recognize the best golfers in the tournament. Hartford businesses can also apply to be a tournament sponsor and donate to support the cause.
The Keney Park Golf Course in neighboring Windsor will host the tournament. Registration starts at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 7, and tee time is set for 11:30 AM. Golfer entry fees are $170, and spectator tickets cost $55 online.
