Fairfield Rocky Horror fans get anniversary treat

Marking the 50th anniversary of the initial release of the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Warehouse will be showing a one-time screening in late October.

Over the years, as the movie has attained cult status, viewing events have come to include props to use during various scenes in the movie. To ensure viewers get the best experience, the team at The Warehouse will be selling Bags for $10 each containing such items. Instructions for when and how to use the props will also be included. One of the highlights of the movie is the scene where the characters sing and dance to the song Time Warp. For this viewing, a flyer will be included in the props bag on how to perform the dance, which they are invited to do in the aisles.

Viewers are also encouraged to bring their own props, although all Bags used to carry such props will be searched. Tickets for the event will be $16 for members or $19 for non-members, including $2 fees.

Pictures of fans dressed as characters from movies like this often go to Print shops to be included in promotional newsletters.

This one-time-only event will take place on Friday, October 24 at The Warehouse, 70 Sanford Street. Doors will open at 7:00 pm with the screening beginning at 8:00 pm.
