Downtown Fairfield will be humming with summer activities including the Fairfield International Food Fest coming in early September.
On Saturday, September 5th, ConnectFairfield will be hosting its second annual Fairfield International Food Fest.
Designed for adults as well as families, the event will have interactive activities, including a photo booth, a kids' passport experience, henna arts, face painting, art experiences, a Heritage Chalk Mural and photo stations with an Around the World theme. Entertainment will also include outdoor cultural performances, live music, international documentary screenings provided by Fairfield University Center for the Arts and Minds in StageOne and a band performing in the Warehouse.
Twelve food vendors will be offering pay-as-you-go food samples from places like the Caribbean (Jamaican jerk chicken and Puerto Rican pinchos chicken kabobs), India, Korea (Korean bulgogi BBQ beef), Italy, Greece (gyros), Thailand (Thai dumplings), and British pot pies from England. The spirit tastings at the 21+ lounge will be complimentary.
Adult admission will be $35, children's tickets will be $18, and FTC member tickets will be $24. Some of the proceeds will go to the Fairfield Theater.
The Fairfield International Food Fest will take place over Labor Day weekend Saturday, September 5th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Fairfield Theater, 70 Sanford Street.
