Fairfield Museum readies for Halloween event

The Fairfield Museum and History Center is preparing for its annual Halloween on the Green coming in late October.

This will be a free four-hour event for local families to enjoy a fun, safe environment while celebrating Halloween.

Everyone is invited to dress in their Halloween finery. Children may go trick-or-treating among the tables and tents where local businesses and non-profits will be passing out giveaways such as candy, stickers, and tattoos and providing interactive activities and games. The historic buildings will have spooky displays and there will be a bounce house and food vendors.

Sponsorships are $500 each and will include 12' by 12' outdoor spaces at the event, business name and logo on pre-event marketing materials and signage at the event, and business logo on event's webpage and social media promotions. Non-profit organizations may register for free, although spots are limited for all parties.

Businesses and nonprofits must bring their own tents and tables, and volunteers or staff must supervise their spaces at all times. The deadline for registration will be next Tuesday, September 30.

Businesses that take part in events like this often have pictures taken during the festivities and have them sent to local Print shops to be added to future advertising materials.

Halloween on the Green will take place Sunday, October 26 from noon to 4:00 pm at the Museum Commons, 370 Beach Road.
