Torrington Lions Club’s Car Show will be coming to Downtown Torrington the middle of next month. The event will feature vintage autos, muscle cars, and classic imports. Admission will be free for spectators and $10 for each show car entry.
Along with the cars, there will be food available for purchase from local vendors, live music (classic rock), and a 50/50 raffle.
Torrington Car Show Trophies and bragging rights will go to ‘Best in Class’ winners in each division. The Awards ceremony will be around 8:00 pm in front of city hall. Raffle winners will be announced during the ceremony.
Torrington Lions Club will want to have a photographer or two at this event to get pictures for its 2016 Brochures. Other Lions Club activities have been its 39th Golf Tournament at the Greenwood Country Club on August 19 and the upcoming Sixth Annual Community Health and Wellness Fair in Hartford coming in early October.
The car show is scheduled for Friday, September 16 at 140 Main Street here in Torrington. Downtown Main Street will be turned into a parking lot for the show around 4:00 pm so the entries can register and find spaces to display their vehicles.
