Classic rock festival brings the noise to Avon

Beer and music lovers are in for a treat next month, as a ‘70s and ‘80s rock festival is coming to the Avon area.

The Brewstock Classic Rock Experience will kick off soon, bringing Avon residents together for a mix of craft beer and rock tribute bands. The top brewmasters in the surrounding area will provide the beer options, allowing attendees to discover new options and purchase their favorites. Attendees will have opportunities to ask the brewmasters about the hops and ingredients used for each sample.

KSF will be the headliner for the festival’s live music performance. The band, from the Avon area, specializes in Kansas, Styx, and Foreigner covers. Sweet Magic, another local band, will be the opening act for the show. Guests should bring lawn chairs and blankets to create comfortable seating arrangements. Poster printing offers a colorful and collectible way to raise awareness of such festivals and events.

General admission tickets come with sampling tickets, which allow attendees to enjoy free beer samples from attending breweries. No outside alcohol will be allowed into the event venue. Soft drinks, wine, and water will be available upon entering.

The Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center will host the music festival on Sunday, October 27, starting at noon and ending at 5:00 PM. General admission tickets are available online starting at $12.51 per guest.
