Loveland gets creative with fused glass

This spring, colorful mushrooms will be popping up in gardens all over Loveland, and they will be made by hand by the students in an upcoming workshop.

Instructor Gail Frick has 10 years of experience with working with fused glass, and she will share her expertise with the registrants in an afternoon workshop scheduled for Lincoln Gallery. Along with mushrooms, there will be flower and gnome projects for guests to choose from.

Those who register for the class will be introduced to working with kiln-formed glass, and everyone will go home with their own unique piece of garden decor. They will learn about the physics of glass and also how to cut it using the tools provided. The items will be fired, slumped, and then finished for the attendees. The participation and materials fee starts at $95, which also covers the cost of firing and finishing.

A crafting workshop provides an opportunity to both learn a new hobby and meet others who are also interested in the pastime. Marketing materials such as leaflets, Brochures, and mailers can be prepared for an event organizer by a flyer printing company.

The Mushrooms, Flowers and Gnomes introduction to working with fused glass will be running from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 30. The Gallery is located at 429 Lincoln Avenue.
